Philmac Australia wins Irrigear Supplier of the Year Award for 2019. Adelaide-based manufacturer, Philmac, is no stranger to the podium on Irrigear’s awards nights – once again being named Irrigear’s Supplier of the Year (SOTY). The win makes it two consecutive wins for the innovative producer of fittings, valves and connectors.

Philmac’s General Manager of Sales AUS/NZ, Sean Callaghan went on to say “The award means a great deal to Philmac. We employ over 250 people in Adelaide that are mainly involved in the manufacture of our products and the Philmac team gets such a boost from such prestigious recognition. The current levels of service of industry suppliers to Irrigear is very high, so this makes this award even more special." 

The Supplier of the Year award recognises excellence across a range of criteria including innovation, service and support. To win, a supplier must care as much about the best solutions, products and service levels as Irrigear’s member stores do.  Irrigear General Manager, Simon Treptow, noted that the award shows a special commitment to success. “Going above and beyond is not unusual for Irrigear’s Loyal Suppliers – but Philmac just always seems to have that edge. Whether it’s product quality and innovation, or just good old fashioned attention to customer service and support, the team at Philmac just seems to try that little bit harder." Irrigear continually seeks to 'raise the bar' on professional standards and practices, by continual programs of training, information exchange, networking and review processes which recognise excellence.

Yearly, we celebrate the achievements of our 'Irrigear Family' through two major Awards – 'Member of the Year (MOTY)' and 'Supplier of the Year (SOTY)'. The winners are selected based on results of an annual appraisal process, that scores Members and Platinum Suppliers across a range of performance and industry criteria. This year’s Awards were announced in August 2023, at the Irrigear National Conference in Brisbane, Queensland amongst Irrigear Member Stores and Platinum Suppliers.
