The client, a local winery, noticed that their pump was faulty and in need of replacement. As they regularly work with Webster Water Solutions for their water management needs, they knew exactly who to call.
As the client is a winery, the location posed a few more aspects to consider in comparison to a domestic installation. Additionally, the pump that required replacement was located in a river that the winery uses for their irrigation, meaning that running water would need to be accounted for.
The first step of the process was for the team from Webster Water Solutions to head out and assess the situation. From this, their technicians concluded that the pump would have to be replaced in order to ensure efficient and reliable water access for the winery. The pump location and where the client needed water to end up were noted, and the team put together their plan from here.
Project ProductsThe main product for this installation was a Franklin Electric 6” submersible pump. This commercial grade pump allows for effective water management where large scale pumping is required and suits the needs of the client's winery perfectly.
The ProcessOnce the technicians had their plan signed off by the client, they went out to remove the old faulty pump and commence installation works. The Webster Water Solutions team had decided to install the new pump inside a submersible cooling sleeve for improved efficiency and lifespan. This cooling sleeve was built by the team, and crafted from an old pipe manifold. You can see some of their manufacturing process below: |

In addition to the cooling sleeve, the team built a new control panel for the pump, with the inclusion of a timer to make it easier for the client to keep on top of their water management.
Once everything was set up, Webster Water Solutions’ technicians went back out to site to install the new pump, configure and connect all wiring for the control panel and complete testing of the system to ensure everything worked harmoniously.
