Rainwater Tank Installation - Member Case Study

The Goal:

The customer’s goal with this project was to capture rainwater from their new shed. This water is to be used within the garden, not the home.

Location Overview:

The customer is located in a new estate within the Lockyer Valley area. Their home is connected to mains water and the tank is to be positioned next to the shed in the home’s backyard.

Pre-Project Consultation Notes:

The Superior Irrigation Services team noted that the customer has pre-prepared a tank pad next to the shed. They also made note of the fact that the shed is crafted in the colour Monument, an important factor to consider when planning out the project’s design.

Project Products:

After consultation with the customer, the Superior Irrigation Services team recommended a Bushmans TXD5500 tank. Their suggestion was to order this tank in the colour Monument to match the customer’s shed.

Once this recommendation was accepted, the team went ahead and ordered the tank as well as the additional components required for successful tank installation.

The Process:

Upon delivery of the customer’s new Bushmans tank, the Superior Irrigation Services team assisted with the unloading process, and helped position the tank on the tank pad the customer had prepared.

Following this they connected stormwater overflow pipes to the tank, therefore achieving the customer’s goal of capturing rainwater from their new shed.

With the shed now feeding directly into the tank for rainwater catchment, the Superior Irrigation Services team proceeded to drill and install the outlet, ball valve, and overflow fittings to the customer’s specifications. The installation of these components marked completion of all works requested by the customer.
