For this project the client needed irrigation installed within their propagation house. This case study focuses on the first part of Total Water Services’ involvement, with a complete climate control setup and under bench heating also set to be installed by the team in the second phase of this propagation house’s setup.
Based on a rural property in the region surrounding Capalaba, this large propagation house is still being completed, therefore offering a blank slate. This meant that the Total Water Services team were able to get in from the start and assist in the creation of the propagation house from the ground up.
Given that the propagation house measures 1400m2, a significantly sized system was required to ensure appropriate irrigation across all areas of the space. The future plans for installation of climate control and under bench heating were also factored into the system that Total Water Services designed as all aspects must work together to create a suitable environment for propagation.
Project ProductsTo complete the irrigation system for this project, the Total Water Services made use of approximately 1500 foggers and 1.6km of pipework as well as a Davey pumping system. Tanks were also installed at the premises to ensure access to water.
The ProcessIn creating the irrigation for this propagation house, the Total Water Services team suspended their pipes and foggers around four metres off the ground. This allows for appropriate clearance of plants once they're growing in the space and makes it easy for the client to control watering cycles. |

While this propagation house is still being built, the client is incredibly pleased with how the irrigation system has turned out so far, and is looking forward to continuing to work with Total Water Services to complete construction of the space.
